Make your own Project 10 Ten tumblr

project10ten:

  • Pick a tumblr username like “yourname10” or “whateverword10”

  • Send your username only to me if you’d like to be included in the Project Participants page. No other information will be shared or collected. You can send your username and still remain anonymous :)

  • Add a button to your P10 and/or personal page to spread the movement. The html code is on the sidebar. If you are participating but would like to keep your P10 blog private, please add a P10 badge to your non-10tumblr and/or Facebook to share the project.

  • Think of it like a pay it forward type of project. Share the movement, share the project, share and spread the positive thinking.

What is Project 10 Ten?

  • Write down ten positive things (either at the end of or throughout the day) that occurred/about your day, 10 things you were grateful for, or 10 goals. The ultimate goal is to get to 10, but keep going if you can surpass this number

  • When there are days where making it to 10 is not a possibility, go back and read old entries. They will serve as reminders to keep going on days where a 10 is far from reach. Consider these your reasons for living, fighting, and moving forward.

  • Carry around a journal of choice (if you wish) so you can write throughout the day, and either add them to your P10 tumblr, or just use your tumblr. Whatever works for you.

  • Forcing yourself to focus on 10 positive points each day gets you into a conscious thinking pattern of focusing on the light in your life. Being able to look at the good in spite of the bad is a tool everyone can use, but in particular for those of us whose illnesses bright more suffering and struggling to the table in every day life.

The goal is to expand this project, expand a little love, expand some positivity. Please place a link with an “about” blurb to this main Project 10 Ten source so others understand that you are part of a movement and how they can get involved.

Reblog & share the good vibes,

—E

Project 10 Ten: A Project in Positivity

I started Project 10 Ten a while ago, but it took a backseat to everything else going on. Now, though, I have some time and it’s back up and running. For the next few days, I’ll be posting my 10 things both here on Chronic Curve and on P10 blog so readers get an idea of what this is all about. It’s also a great way to get to know other bloggers, inspire others, and a great coping tool.

What is Project 10 Ten?

It is a writing exercise I started in high school.

At the end of or throughout each day, I wrote down 10 (or more) positive things that happened that particular day, 10 things I was grateful for, or 10 goals. The goal being to get to ten, but to keep going if you can surpass this number.

On rough days where making it to 10 was not a possibility, I went back and read old entries, which stood as reminders of why I kept going. Essentially, I journal-ed my reasons for living each and every day.

Why participate and expand Project 10 Ten?

After developing chronic pain and autoimmune condition(s), I thought it was time to expand my concept. So often we have a negative, heavy cloud over our heads— we are always in some level of pain, have some level of fatigue, some level of suffering; it is easy to forget to appreciate or take notice of the little things. It is easy to give up.

It’s not easy to get out of bed. It’s not easy to take a shower, to drive a car, to be poked and prodded, to suffer. This project, these 10 reasons, they are reminders to keep going. Anyone going through a hard time or who wants to better their life (and outlook) can use this project, but in particular my chronically ill readers.

We can’t throw out the hand we’ve been dealt, but we can choose how we play that hand. It’s hard work. It’s conscious, productive thinking, but it’s a choice. W

How do I start?

Buy a journal and carry it with you. Don’t stop at 10 if you have 15 positive things about your day; the more the better. The goal is to get to 10.

OR

Start a private tumblr or start a tumblr with a name like ” yourname10.” The goal is to expand this project, expand a little love, expand some positivity. Please place a link with an “about” blurb to this main Project 10 Ten source so others understand that you are part of a movement and how they can get involved.

Think of it like a pay it forward type of project. If you are comfortable with sharing your tumblr, great. If not, that’s okay too. This is for you. If you are comfortable with sharing your tumblr, I’d like to include it on our Project Participants page where I’ll share your link, so send me a message with your P10 username. Remember, ask boxes do not allow links, so just send the url name.

How can I help expand the project?

Promote this tumblr on Facebook, twitter, etc. Promote your own Project 10 Ten tumblr (please link to this original p10 so people know what your blog is all about) and add a Project 10 Ten button to your page. Button html codes are on the side of the P10 blog.

TL;DR:

  • Visit the P10 FAQ page, or send me an ask at either blog if you have a question.
