  • Have Autoimmune Arthritis that affects the hands.
  • Have an IV placed or blood drawn
  • Told to squeeze the stress ball nurse gives you. 
  • Told to squeeze harder
  • Can’t squeeze it hard enough— too much pain/weakness!

Anyone else have this issue?

  • Seeing more specialists in two weeks than most people see in their entire lives. Neurologists, dermatologists, optometrists, rheumatologists, spinal orthopedists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, the list goes onnnn and on. 

Anyone else trying to squeeze appointments in before the new year?

  • Having four ice packs and a heating pad on you at one time.
     
  • Keeping your air conditioning at 73 degrees and having a fan pointed directly at you on high while you sleep…yet still waking up having soaked your sheets from fever and sweats.

  • Never knowing when to go to the hospital or urgent care because otherwise “scary” symptoms no longer scare you

Edit: this is why I love you people. In agony over here, moaning in pain, feeling alone, and my dash blows up with people feeling the same way, sending messages of support & reblogging within a few minutes of me posting this. Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone.
